During
the 80s we developed very empirically a personal and rustic software
allowing the visualization of a free shape 3D: the software " Rodin ".
We authorized only the transformations produced by program, introducing
a strong texture 3D into numerous images, but no textures from
digitized images. This approach was in accordance with our initial
intentions of automatism. This way the obtained images are more "raw".
This period is the one of a
3D primitive computing art because it was necessary to resolve one by one a series of difficulties both technical and material: first the modelling of natural elements, the manipulation and the deformation of shapes, the animation later. The difficulties of composition were completed by these of the productions inherent in that time, illustrated by our film "9600 bauds".(twenty minutes to display one image)
